Breaking out

To most people, ending up in prison would be seen as a sign of failure.
Dr. Samara Shock was not like most people.
Some people, the Go City Women’s Maximum Security Correctional Facility for Super Powered Criminals seemed impossible to escape from.
Dr. Samara Shock was not those people.

To her, the incarceration in a prison, specially designed for super villains was a sign of validation.
She had arrived.
Never again would she be carted off to a regular prisons, no more normal trials ever again.
She was a Super Villainess and the world finally had recognized her.
She was in the Big League now, rubbing shoulders with other luminaries of evil, including, but not limited to: Electronique, the electric she-devil of Go City, global super misanthrope Jenny Cide with her sidekick Toxine. Dr. Shock’s older competitor Lady Isotope was here along with the serial killer Halloween Jane.
And of course Debbie who, as always, was locked up in The Vault.
Samara checked the calendar and smirked to herself. Having spent two weeks on the inside to 'settle in', she now merely had to wait for Dart to follow her plan.
No one had escaped from GCWMSCFSPC (or “The Bitch Bin” as the inmates called it) before but they didn’t know what she, Dr. Samara Shock, knew.
As she lay on her bunk, basking in her own brilliance she was interrupted by a rolled-up sock hitting her on the head and Electronique calling for her to join in a game of Texas Hold ‘Em.
Smirking, she swung her legs over the edge of the bunk bed and got up. As she sauntered out to join the game, she glanced at the clock on the wall.
“Just a few more moments and the show is on.” she thought smugly.
