Description Unlike my other drum ("Song Dog"), which I had the opportunity to make myself, I bought the drum (bodhrรกn) for this one. I then painted this design on it. The three spirals is a celtic petroglyph, and the bird is a raven.

Painted in 2006, photo in 2011. (This is actually after a massive flood in my area. The drum was salvaged and after some washing and sanitizing, survived!)

*feels proud to have heard this drum in person* My little drum is so neglected.

I'm so happy that the drums made it.

Is it hard tp paint these kinda drums? you inspire me x3
I'd love to try my hand at it
As i'm too very spiritual i'd love to try make my own shaman drum somehow.

Not very hard, honestly. With the india ink the drum was a little resistant to taking the ink (it was like putting water on wax paper), but more brush strokes worked it in. Acrylic is just like working on a canvas

If you are interested in more of a "primitive" drum, ~Foxfeather248 sells gorgeous drums/drum kits: [link] (you can get them unpainted if you want to do your own design).

I've always wanted to put this [link] on something (I had it one a t-shirt, but the t-shirt wore out). Perhaps another drum!

And any other questions you have, don't hesitate to note me

Lovely. Reminds me of the Northumberland cup and ring marks I saw this summer, lots of ravens in Northumberland too. [link]

I'm so glad this survived! It's too darn pretty to be wrecked up by that calamity!

This looks fantastic. Is there meaning specifically behind the petroglyph?

Other than being one of my favorite spiral petroglyphs and spirals being a big personal thing for me, I don't think so.
