It took a lot of effort to upload this... like holy frickadel. What in the world is up with dA's entire submission thing, I will never know. I checked out a two similar help threads just yesterday, but there don't seem to be any resolutions to this, soooo... seriously. IDK.I followed 'yuumei's cloud tutorial fav.me/d6k2ji4 which was incredibly helpful in my quest to produce the perfect clouds.
I used her brushes as well, and I was surprised at how lovely this came out. I especially love the colours, I mean... usually my environment work is always so bland, but this came our surprisingly wonderful. <3AND YES. Those little red things in the sky are paper planes. ^///^ And guess whose hand that is? Lol, I think it's pretty obvious, but OH WELL.

very good technique here but I feel like It could be a bit better. I think it something to catch the viewers eye immediately, like a bird maybe. One big kite together with the smallers ones could maybe work as well

Yeah, and first I did actually think it looked slightly bland, but... IDK. For some reason when I kept looking at it again and again, nothing really seemed incredibly out of place, so I was quite happy with it. ^^ Ah well; still experimenting!

Anyways, really nice job!~ Yuumei's tutorial and brushes and everything are horribly fabulous XDD
I like how your piece turned out, it has a very watercoloury feel to it~ I'm guessing you messed around with the background gradient a little and gave it a slightly different texture?ย

YES, Yuumei's stuff is friggin amazing. Damn, the chic has talent. To be honest, I didn't mess around with the gradient from the time I started it.

it is, isn't it? She's been drawing for a long time, so she's proof that practice does make perfect~ *sighs dreamily*
But it doesn't matter, really, I feel that it takes a fair bit of skill for a digital piece to look like it's been done with traditional media, and it's something that I still haven't really been able to accomplish XDD
