My, this is a fantastic piece to look at.
The dark, smokey look it has really does set for the mood, and seeing as Carroll suffered of migraines, it's incredibly appropriate, in my opinion.
Not only that, but I like how the actual characters of the book can be sort of seen in the background, faintly, and how it's the random cards and chess pieces and the rabbit that's got the focus of the picture.
The pocket watch and the fact the rabbit's smoking bubbles from a pipe is also a nice touch, and also very amusing to look at.
And then, there's the expression the man himself has. That was beautifully portrayed, I have to say.
And I also love the details on the desk drawers and the objects placed on the desk itself. Have to wonder if it's the bell and... What I'm assuming is his pen and inkwell, that inspired him to ask us that frustrating riddle: How is a raven like a writing desk?
All in all, this is a fantastic piece of art and I'm glad you posted this!

Didn't he create the story for his niece or something? I remember learning about this in high school, but I can't recall...
ANYWHO, This is neatsaucey! Man, he even traveled the world telling people stories. I wonder what it would be like to be a part of his audience back in the day.
