When I watched it as a child, half the time I had no idea what was going on--all I remember was that I liked it a lot! I'll probably be old enough to understand it better now. I should re-watch it!

Eeeee~ this really makes me want to watch Escaflowne again! And this time, watch it all the way through in original Japanese dubbing and not the English dubbed version >___>

Aw, you should! Well you already know I don't like dubs, so I always watch my anime in subbed mode. There are only a few anime I actually like the dub for... x_x

Yeah, I very, VERY rarely watch anime in English dub these days, but back in the days when anime was difficult to get a hold of (and I was stuck with dial up internet that made streaming difficult rofl!), it was easier just to watch the anime that came on tv... unfortunately that meant (badly) dubbed anime XD
Oh well, I'm sure I can easily find the origial Japanese dub of Escaflowne nowadays
