There is a similar thing in the culture of the nation where I currently live!
Although it's a man, and hangs out near streams and lakes and such. Lures people in by playing the violin.
The monochrome definitely works in your favour here, it is very effectual and gives the piece a very Grimm-fairytale vibe!
Slavic mythology got plenty of gems, and it is wonderful to see it getting some spotlight!
My favourite is Koshchai bessmertnyi, with the nesting soul!
