She's also a Mary Sue. Just saying.

I think I liked the humor over everything in the series. It's one of the few books that literally makes me crack up.

I like the whole thing, though Jace gets on my nerves in City of Glass. And other. He's just so... masochistic!

I think that's what many people think makes him so 'sexy.' Which he is, but mostly for his sarcasm in my own opinion.
I think Cassandra was trying to show how since he's had a tortured youth he sometimes has trouble finding when to and when not to give in to his desires. Sometimes he's way too withdrawn, other times way too indulgent. It's like some weird hot and cold thing.

I think that he needs to learn to TALK to people. Maybe get some therapy. Because that's not healthy. And Clary knows it.
I wouldn't be attracted to someone who only wanted to be with me because it made him feel bad about himself.

I think Jace liked her, in the end, over his stupid masochism. Have you read City of Glass?

He did. It's just that he wouldn't have tried to be with her until after they found out they weren't related if it hadn't made him feel more guilty. Yes I have read City of Glass. You have too, right?

Yeah, I read City of Glass. I think he liked her because of his sheer relief when he found out they weren't related.

I think he always liked her, but was going to fight against it until he realized he could be all guilty about it.

Yeah, I can agree with that. Hey, have you read Water for Elephants?

I have not. Is it worth reading?

Definitely.
There are parts that may be described as quite graphic (sexually) but it is a great read. You can almost feel the research and immense amount of work put into it to make it feel like it was in the 30's. It's about a circus back then and- and- oh god it'll be too much if I try to explain it to you. Just try it.
