“I don’t like it when my friends go away either,” Chau confessed. “It hurts when they leave,” especially if you do not know why...
She then perched on the fence's final post and hesitated, following his gaze to the darkness ahead.
“If you are going there... can I come with you? It’s dark in the forest, but I do like your company.” Plus, she trusted she would be safe with him.
-The Corcel stopped. It stared into the lonely dark for a long moment, then half looked back at the otter sybal perched on the last fence.
“I am used to the dark,” it said simply. “You can come. If you want to.”
- At that, Chau jumped up and landed gracefully in his saddle.
