My scanner decided to hate this.Time: New Year's Day, the year before the quest.
Sheba stood at the water's edge, and looked up at the sky. Elsewhere, the townspeople of Lalivero celebrated with fireworks and glee. Usually, she would have to be present, as the Child of the Gods should bless the new year and celebration. But every New Year's Eve, Sheba secretly sneaks out to make a wish on the moon...
This year, I will find where I came from...
The full moon shone back at her, unresponsively. Little did she know of the eventful year ahead of her...

Edit: edited picture. Also remembered that I used salt on this for fun. Look closely at the sky, it's like tie-dye-ish.

I'm not really sure what to say. It's so pretty that it's kind of hard to describe.
The grass looks really well done because it's slightly patchy. It gives a very realistic feel, doesn't it?
Uh... the only thing that really irks me is the sketch in the background. It's like... actually a bit funny. But it somehow ruins the feel.
Love the concept though.

Well, while it was still wet. I remembered doing that when I was little at an art camp,a nd tried it again. I think it works better with rock salt or something, not sure.

Wow...that's a really neat idea, Suzu. The watercolours work really well here on the grass and the sky, and I like how we can see Venus Lighthouse's reflection in the water. The fireworks seem a little out of place, though - not in the story, but in the the picture. The colours just seem a touch too saturated for them to blend in with the rest of the picture.
Still, it's awesome. I like Sheba's little teddy, too!

Considering digitally editing that *shifty eyes* I think they should be more like a flash of light rather than random color... and the reflections were crap XD

Mm, I agree...if you could blur the reflections a little, it'd look like they were actually reflected in the water, too. But I don't know how much you can edit it!
