Original Characters Again.---------------------------------
So here is Milo Menthe and his kitten, Sylva. Milo is a medium, able to see the lost spirits of the dead when he touches 'anchors'; certain personal {or sometimes not, given the circumstances} objects that harness a dead soul and tethers it to the physical world.
He unlocked the full potential of this ability when he was drowned by his own mother in a canal; who was deranged and saying that her son was a demon, as she often heard him talking in his sleep. By a some strange twist of fate, a passerby saw the woman drowning her child, and rescued him; though the result left the nearly dead child orphaned.
When he was recessitated, he found himself alone on the streets, with no one to be found. His only companion became a hungry cat that he found huddled next to him for warmth.
Since then, he went to live with his elder brother, a doctor by the name of Theo Menthe, who allowed him to keep the cat, for the price of becoming his assistant. While in the hospital, Milo witnessed his first supernatural event; he touched a woman's locket, and her ghost suddenly materialized in front of him.
Since then, Milo has pieced together the following facts:
- Certain objects may contain links to lost or trapped souls.
- He has to be in contact with the object to initially reveal the soul.
- Sylva bristles or meows when supernatural activity is apparent.
- When touching a person, he can see the condition of their souls as well; from pure, to tainted. He can also tell if a person is lying or hiding something, when the soul trembles slightly.
- The sounds of bells being jangled wards off spirits.
So, there's a little blip about Milo.

Same here, I think people could go "You're character is a Mary-stu" just because it's an OC. That's really shallow.
Yes the different time schedules are very confusing, I always end up thinking "If my chara gets accepted, where should I jump in?"

I hope people don't think mine is Gary-stu... I tried to make him unique as possible... but I don't know. I suppose it's in the writing. Sometimes people try to incorporate a bit of themselves into the characters, and they go fully into it to the point of ridiculousness. I believe a character should have the flavor of the writer, but not the entire soul.

Favorite? *blush* Thank you~! I love to roleplay! It's so much fun! It's like a round-robin fiction, where everyone comes up with a piece! And you get to play pretend with your character and see how they'd work in different scenarios. I just love it!
Let's see... if your character gets accepted... hmm... I know what you mean though. I had a hard time coming up with a place to put Milo. Go figure he'd be on a dock {last place he'd EVER go}, but it's a better place than any. Worse comes to worst, you can probably just go ahead and post in the Show itself, since people are already arriving there. That is, if you're accepted. I thought your character was quite cute, for his twisted little backstory. Did Space talk to you at all about it?

It also made me more emotional than any other thing I've seen, that's why I love it so much.
I think you actually should publish a book you know, because the things you write are what I want to read in a book. I find most books boring because they aren't BL, they miss the huge amount of angst I'm used to and they have just ridiculous drama in it compared to other things I've seen.

Thanks! I really can't create characters that aren't twisted after reading the Umineko visual novels and watching Kuroshitsuji, but then again I always liked evil characters more and the things I'd come up with were always pretty dark.

I got extra emotional over it's conclusion, for certain. I don't know exactly WHY, perhaps a good thing was over so soon? I don't know; what justifies Bleach and Inuyasha to have a bazillion long seasons, but Kuro gets only 2 {more like 1 1/2}? I really do hope they go on... though I'm highly doubtful at this point....
Really? You think so? *Smiles* Thank you! I'm flattered! I really want to be a writer when I'm older. It's my favorite thing in the world to do {besides drawing, of course}. Looking back on it, I spent a LOT of time researching stuff for "HB;MM". I read the entire "The Tragedy of Dr.Faustus" and "Faust", researched Victorian chores, researched perfumeries for the 'minimystery' for Ciel's older version... seriously... it's amazing how much I invested in those chapters... *laughs* That's dedication.
I know what you mean! Twisted characters are my favorite! Though, if I were to have made Milo twisted, he'd probably not mesh well with Alois... I have big plans for him! ^^ Cute and innnocent shall not save you, Milo! *laughs*

It shows, the research I mean. It gives the same feeling as the Kuroshitsuji manga itself due to that research and the writing style.

I colour my drawings in Photoshop CS in my old mac in the garage. I use a wacom tablet, but the outlines are usually pencil that I touched up with the stylus. I usually make base colors, then I shadow it with a gradiant brush. Multiply is my friend.
Well, right now, he's already gotten into a small bit of trouble, crashing into Lau. Now he's indebted to him... then he'll crash into Ciel... and then eventually... He's just a really bad victim of circumstance. Clutzy beyond belief as well.
I don't know! *Taps her chin* Well... Milo's soul would probably taste... different, since he can see other souls, and he died before in a traumatic state... but I don't know if that would necessarily make him taste exceptional like Ciel and Alois, so I don't think yours would want to nom on him.

Yunno, the stuff that Sebastian prevented Ciel from seeing?}, so he'll probably be hiding behind people. I seriously can see him playing the 'don't touch me!' game... only crying out like Italy from Hetalia.

I always wanted Paint Tool Sai... there's so many beautiful pictures that come from it! My photoshop Cs is nice... but it has it's imperfections {believe me, there are many}. I like how solid the lines are on Sai work... for some reason, PSCS likes to be a little... blurry?
Yeah, Milo's mother was a twisted bitch, that's for sure. Drowning your kid in a filthy canal because he talks in his sleep? Sicko. Good thing she's dead now. Luckily, Milo's brother is a doctor, so he probably had plenty of antibiotics.

That's the mystery, ain't it? I think the kitty did it. *laughs* But seriously, somebody sliced her throat and dragged Milo out of the water. I would have had it be a demon {I wanted Sylva originally to be a demon who remains in cat form}, but I was only allowed 1 OC, so I just made her a very perceptive, supernaturally connected cat.
Sylva originally was going to be a little like Hannah, where she's emotionally attached to Milo because she lost her children before she died. She originally heard the sound of Milo dying and begging for help {like how Ciel does}, and was going to offer him a contract, but when she saw that it was a mother drowning her child, she killed her. She hates her reflection in humanoid form, because she's reminded of her life before death, where she lost all of her children, so she stays as a cat. Because Milo's medium ability was unlocked while he was on the brink of death, Sylva stays at his side, realizing she's the reason he's orphaned and will be enduring untold horrors because of his abilities and naivity.
However, I don't think that Space and the others would have approved of me having 2 OCs though... so I just made it a mystery who saved Milo.

I had the same problem with my OC, actually I wanted him to have a Master that looks older than my OC (Because every master in Kuro is younger than their butler) and have him wear bandage as a blindfold walking hand in hand with his master trough London and killing together (Because he won't be able to see), I had many ideas but I had to come up with new ones, originally Nikolai didn't have ears and a tail, but I was bored so I added it (I kept Nikolai's leather demon form blindfold though... ufufufu, long live my fantasy)
Nikolai would say "I won't~! But if you try to kill me the one who dies first is you, and if you run or ditch me... I will pinch you... hard... very hard. Do you understand~?" *chuckles* I guess Nikolai is kind of a molester and would love to see Milo run away. He's unpredictable, one moment he might act really angry and angsty and the other moment he is all cheery and happy, it really depends on his mood how he'll interact with others.

Hmm... good question... He'd probably not like her as much as a demon, because she's no longer fluffy and cute sized. She's gorgeous, don't get me wrong... but she's basically a fallen angel who didn't exactly want to fall. She just asked the wrong questions at the wrong time, and was exiled from Heaven to Hell to become a demon. That's why she refuses to truly devour souls, and really just wants to get into Heaven's good graces by healing wounded and stray souls using Milo and his bells. That makes her somewhat weaker than Sebastian, Claude, and Hannah. I'm pretty sure Nikolai could probably whoop her too, since she hasn't eaten a soul in so long {she tried making contracts, but she gets too emotionally attached to her prey, and resents her meal later}. She'll only eat when on the brink of insanity and she cannot take it anymore.
I recognize that costume! It's pretty cool, though I'm pretty squeemish about the piercings down the abdomen... owwww...

Well usually horrors don't creep me out, I don't mind blood, stupid typical surprise scare moments and stuff... In that movie you just knew something was going to happen, and it was happening slowly so that creeped me out, and also I can't see ANYTHING about ghosts that's made realistic. I believe in ghosts and spirits because I've seen them when I was small (Most people laugh at me when I tell that >___> Don't laugh plz)
So I really hated that, other than that I hated the fact that it was about a demon... I think of demons, I think of Sebastian and demon romance stories. Well, they just messed up my image of demons! I wouldn't mind to be killed by Sebastian, just because he would be real and hot as hell and I would be like "AWESOME! ...DID YOU FINALLY DO CIEL?!" ...and then I would die.
But being possessed by a demon like that wouldn't really be fun... maybe if you see it from the demon's perspective it would be kind of laughable... but not if you're possessed and creeped out for WEEKS.
Mostly I place myself in others, also with horror movies, it's good if you want to write a fanfic or a doujin. But not when watching a realistic horror movie...

In this situation, Sylva would probably just watch for a while until Milo's life was compromised. Course, if he was screaming enough, she'd probably interfere like big momma kitty demon and send Nickolai into a corner. {Though, as I said, she's a pretty weak demon. If he REALLY wanted to get to Milo, he probably could.} Milo would probably try to get away, but he's also really weak. He'd probably be overpowered really quickly. Which is why Alois gets away with half the shit he's gonna do to him.

I've seen ghosts when I was younger too, so I believe you. My grandmother's house was riddled with apparations. I saw one at the bottom of the stairs that caused me to fall down them when I was eight. Scared me to death. I've been a believer ever since... but I'm not scared. I'm facsinated.

Well I always felt this presence watching me, sometimes it's just fine, but when my parents aren't home and I have to vacuum clean the house, I just can't... because it's just not pleasant.
When I was at camp in sixth grade I saw a ghost in a nightgown (At the girl dorms, in daylight with only me in the room), it could have been a boy or a girl, the hair reached his/her shoulders, it was all white and foggy, I got enough courage to say "Hi..." It didn't say anything back and kept staring at me. I walked away fast and looked back, he/she was gone.
I told my friends but nobody believed me...
I'm fascinated by spirits/demons whatever they are too... however, I wouldn't find it pleasant if they'd start to haunt/troll me.

Urghhh... Twilight. I remember reading that back when it wasn't popular because my friend wanted something to have in common with me... I didn't like it much, but I at least tolerated it. But when the movie came out, and they named KRISTEN FRIKKIN STEWART as Bella Swan, I instantly hated the entire franchise. I hate that actress. =_= Can't act worth tatertots.
They also filmed the first movie in my town... the house one street away from mine is Bella's house, and the parking lot about two blocks from my house is the 'Edward peels out in his crappy volvo and saves Bella from some guys in Port Angeles's back alleys' scene. I got to watch them film there... the producer got PISSED because my friend and I were talking too loud. He came over and shouted 'Shut the HELL up!' at us. I'm surprised he didn't get us removed. The scene was pretty lame though. =_= I was expecting an awesome stunt, but it sucked.
And all the fandom for it is beyond me. I don't get why everyones' so psycho for it...
There's plenty of vampire stories that are awesome... it's just there's so many crappy ones out there that it's hard to find them. My favorite book series right now is "Bloodsucking Fiends/You Suck/Bite Me" by Christopher Moore. Funny awesome vampires=love. Course, there's Interview with a Vampire that I fall back on for sexiness. Yummmmmmm....

I used to watch Most Haunted and Ghost Hunters all the time, because I just love seeing paranormal activity. I notice a lot of supernatural things in everyday life too. I live near a well known bar that has been investigated by paranormal researchers and declared 'Officially Haunted'. You always feel a wierd creepy feeling when you go there...

The light's audacity is even higher when Milo is in pain or aroused, so the conductivity of lost souls escalates. In short; if you're a hungry demon, and you happen to get into Milo's pants, it's about the same as mosquitos to a bluelight. Dinnertime.

No, not come after him. They just gravitate towards Milo like a magnet because they're curious as to why his soul looks like the holy light. It's false hope though, so it doesn't work like it. {So, demons don't burn up in it, and souls don't ascend just by being near him. It's just very bright and attractive to souls. The cubic zirconia of Holy light}. The souls just hover around until Milo settles down, then they drift away again. So, he'd be a priceless commodity for demons with ill intentions. They wouldn't have to work to get their souls. It's like a lure. Which is why Karett {this other demon I've developed} really wants him.
