Dammit...Sacara told herself...you really f-ed up this time!

She was within 50 yards of three, very large and very dangerous, wild Dire Tokotas. And they did not look happy to see her. She didn't plan on being seem, hell she wasn't even planning on being this close! All she wanted was to find the pack and watch from a tree or something, but didn't expect the pack to find her instead.

Honestly, I shouldn't be surprised...she thought.The guide mentioned that nothing comes into this area without the Dires knowing, why the hell didn't I start smaller?! Sacara didn't even own any Tokos, it was by sheer interest in the species that she came all the way out here with an expedition group. She was that guy, the one who never talked to anybody, didn't try to make friends with other handlers. It made her a bit of an outcast, but she was fine with that. Most of the time she daydreamed of actually coming across a Dire pack, and even to the unbelievable notion that her first Toko would be tamed and a dire! But daydreams are always better in your head then when they actually happen...

The dires stood like statues, staring Sacara down. The largest one was a golden tan, holding his head high with authority. The other two seemed more submissive, one being a merle brown and the other being pure white. Something blue was on the white one's eye, but Sacara couldn't quite see what it was. Out of pure curiosity and sheer stupidity, Sacara took a step forward. The tan one immediately tensed, and roared.

Before she know it, he was barreling towards her at full speed in a frenzy of claws and teeth. Knowing how to survive a Wild Tokota attack would have been a nice thing to know BEFORE I left on this stupid trip...she screamed at herself. The thought of every possible bear and wolf scenario to help her escape, but there was no use. She could only rely on her gut instinct, and if that failed her, she was dead.

Extremely unsure, Sacara dropped to her knees, and then lowered her torso to the ground while she extended out her arms. Let him see that I'm no threat...she thought...That I'm completely at his mercy As he reached the final strides, she tucked her head under and adverted her eyes. I'm no threat

For what seemed like hours, Sacara held that position. She didn't dare move or breathe, and for some reason she wasn't dead yet. Things seemed too quiet, and once again her curiosity got the best of her. She lifted her head, and snarling at her just a stride away was the Tokota. A deep growl rose from his throat, and Sacara dropped her head again. "I understand," she said. "This is your pack, you're the boss. I can respect that." The growling stopped, and the world seemed to stand still.

Sacara wasn't going to dare look up again, but the large thing she felt on her head gained her attention. He was nearly on top on her because of how big he was, his mane covering her coat. His head was resting on top of hers, and at she lifted up her eyes they made contact. He stared at her for a minute, then calmly walked away with his pack in tow. After five minutes Sacara was able to breathe again, and it took another 10 before she could stand. She looked over at his pawprints, heading further into the mountains. It would be difficult to find him again, if he even wanted to be found. Doesn't matter...Sacara thought. I will find him again...

So I decided my fursona is going have a human form, for situations such as this. I can't help it, I got into this breed. They're just too cool! So since I needed some practice with my tablet, I wanted to try for this handsome dire. I know my chances are really slim, but I'm going to try. Reason for the story, I may not have time to draw so I may write another entry instead. Anyway, hope you guys enjoy! Please please please PLEASE comment, it always makes my day and I love to hear what you guys have to say.
