I love the retake manga it just fixes so much of End Of Evangelion and Asuka is really awesome in it, this is a great drawn piece to represent it because that end scene in both universes at the end is mind blowing.

Oooh...I knew it was one or the other. I never understood the full ending. Did Shinji just...reset everything to normal but with his friends and others not remembering who he was?

It wasn't so much that he reset everything back to how it was without anyone remembering him, but that humanity all together started over so no one knew anyone. Like, Shinji didn't remember anything same as everyone else because they hadn't met each other in the reset Earth.

I like the Rei endings better. There are 5 different endings, so it's all really up to the reader how it ends.
