Description UPDATE - 07/19/18:
  • Added the missing chimney to Spongebob's Pineapple.
  • Added models in .fbx and .blend formats.
  • Cleaned up the stage's display pane (MMD).

The street where Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, and Sandy's homes can be found as well as various other locations such as the Krusty Krab and the Chum Bucket. This is the entire hub area of the game Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom. Various details are missing, but it should be good to use overall. None of the doors can open (they're just textures) but you can open Patrick's rock.

If you're looking for the skybox, you can get it with (MMD Stage) Jellyfish Fields Download .

I ripped this stage from Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom using 3D Ripper DX. My computer can run this game at a maximum speed of 1 FPS on a Gamecube emulator, so you can imagine how long this took.

Spongebob Squarepants and all related characters, settings, objects, etc. belong to Nickelodeon and Viacom.

Thank you and enjoy!

I have a budget, non-gaming computer. Even working on these models can be kinda slow at times but it's bearable in comparison to emulating games like this.

Fair enough. That would explain why you usually upload models weekly...ish.

I would upload models more often, but I've been getting commissions I can't really share with everyone recently. I usually complete at least one model a day, otherwise.
By the way, I haven't forgotten your Worms request! I'll have some time in December to work on them.

Sounds a lot of hard work, but I know that if you keep believing in yourself, you can accomplish pretty much everything.

Of course! I'm looking forward to these warfaring wigglie-squigglies ported to MMD. ^^

Sure, it doesn't take much longer to include .obj models. I could even make .dae models so you can have them rigged with a skeleton.

If I could rip all of the background scenery at once, I would! Unfortunately, I couldn't set up the camera in such a way that it would be possible.

Might I ask how you got the textures to load with 3D Ripper DX?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SAB64 In reply to VGDCMario [2017-06-18 04:15:58 +0000 UTC]

Do they not get ripped and stored in a folder for you, or they do but the textures aren't already applied to the model?
For me, they just get ripped with the models all at once. I then convert them to .png format and manually assign each texture to the materials within MMD.

VGDCMario In reply to SAB64 [2017-06-18 04:42:23 +0000 UTC]

In that case, are you planning on ripping the stages from Kirby Air Ride?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SAB64 In reply to VGDCMario [2017-06-18 17:34:40 +0000 UTC]

The arenas might be possible, but the racecourses are likely too big to do right.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VGDCMario In reply to SAB64 [2017-06-18 17:43:51 +0000 UTC]

City Trial, surprisingly, has already been ripped from (just untextured) gamebanana.com/projects/34883

The racecourses, on the other hand, are theoretically possible.

1. Debug controls allow for free-movement of Kirby [though hindered by collision].
2. Culling of stages are in pieces, so all one would need to do is face the largest amount of racecourse visible, then "stitch" the remaining pieces together.

SAB64 In reply to VGDCMario [2017-06-19 19:04:50 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that's more or less how it works in BFBB. I can probably rip some stages, as long as they aren't too big to port into MMD.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VGDCMario In reply to SAB64 [2017-06-19 19:08:24 +0000 UTC]

Well, you have imported the entirety of Conch Street, Sonic R, and Sweet Sweet Canyon, so size shouldn't be a problem. I've imported models from SketchUp [as .x] that ended up colossally upscaled.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SAB64 In reply to VGDCMario [2017-06-19 19:28:00 +0000 UTC]

In this case, I mean more like file size. If the sizes get too big in that sense, it can cause problems within PMX Editor, like the problems I had with the two Mario Kart 8 stages I've done. It'll probably be okay, though, seeing as the Kirby stages are in a Gamecube game and not a HD Wii U game.

VGDCMario In reply to SAB64 [2017-06-19 20:27:00 +0000 UTC]

Figured out that Air Ride renders the whole stage if looking at the level from a point of view that encloses each part of the level, no matter how far away it is.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SAB64 In reply to VGDCMario [2017-06-20 01:17:03 +0000 UTC]

That ought to work, I'll be sure to give it a try sometime.
There's also a built-in function in the Dolphin emulator that allows me to hack the camera and move it around without restriction.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VGDCMario In reply to SAB64 [2017-06-20 03:12:37 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that's how I found out how it loads the level (Dolphin's camera hack does not actually force culling, sprites, etc to work with the camera, allowing for checking of these elements.

Here's a .rar containing the spots needed to be at in order to capture the whole map.
