Story:
Aria had been able to change classes last minute with Castella. The rider just wanted to see how the mare would do in a Grand Prix against Citi. Aria had just bought a new tack set for the mare and the rider descided to buy a hunter green jacket to go with it. After the rider tacked up Castella she walked the mare out of the crossties. Carson walked by, still with a small bruise on his head after being run over by Anubis. (Where's Your Handler? ) He saw the horses's new tack. "Oooh, Castella do be rocking that hunter green!" He said jokingly as he went to handwalk Jamica. Aria chuckled quietly as she led the mare out to a mounting block. Wingtail had been buzzing with activity the past week. Competitors, their horses, and onlookers scurried around the facility. Aria noticed Willow leaning against the barn holding her mare, Seeker. The blind mare picked at some grass on the ground, seeming rather uninterested. "Hey! You coming to watch the Grand Prix?" Aria called. Seeker and Willow looked up. "Sure?" The blue-haired rider said awkwardly. She tugged Seekers lead and gently guided the blind mare towards Aria and Castella. Wingtail had no idea that Seeker would be blind when they bought her. Aria felt bad for Willow. "How's Seeker's training going?" Aria asked, trying to make conversation with the quiet rider. "Fine," Willow replied. "She seems to trust me, but I don't know how I am ever going to figure out how to lunge her." "Let me know if you ever need help with it," Aria said. Willow nodded, and the two pairs walked up the hill in silence. Aria looked back to see Carson walking up with Jamica. "Hey Carson! Come walk with us!" Aria invited. Aria pulled Castella to a halt. "Ok!" he replied. He practically had to drag Jamica to catch up. The gelding was extra lazy because of the heat. Aria nudged Castella foward again once Carson caught up. Seeker seemed to tense up when Carskn got close to her. The blind mare seemed nervous, but Willow didn't notice. The 3 walked in silence for the rest of the way to the warmup ring. Carson and Willow both wished Aria luck as she walked into the warmup ring. Aria nudged Castella directly into a canter since she was running a bit late. There seemed to be a few other Grand Prix pairs warming up, so Aria snuck over a few of the set jumps. Castella seemed to hold up fine over the bigger jumps. The bay didn't question anything.

~A little while later~

After warming up, the rider walked over to the indoor ring with Willow, Carson, and their horses. Apparently, it was Aria's turn to go as soon as they got there. She quickly glanced at the course and went in. The buzzer went off and the two sailed towards the first jump. Castella didn't do anything as much as glance at the massive vertical. Aria was thrown off-guard by Castella's powerful jump. Well, I now have 2 Grand Prix horses, Aria thought as she steered the mare towards a broken line. The mare jumped the line with ease and only fell in slightly on the rollback afterwards. Next was a shorter-looking liverpool. Castella hesatated slightly at the liverpool, but still went over, She nudged the rail which rocked ominously. It stayed up by some miracle. Aria steered the bay to the last combo and was extra careful to make sure the mare didn't get strung out. She took a bit of an odd stride to the first jump, but Castella hustled up and over next jump. Holy shit, this mare is smart, Aria thought. Aria was prepared for the mare to take another chip on the final jump, but Castella had other plans. "JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL-" Aria yelled. She leaned foward and gave the mare a huge release as she took the early stride. Aria flew up and landed on Castella's neck as the timer stopped. The crowd clapped and the few that had heard the rider yelled were laughing. Aria picked herself back up and slowed the mare to a walk as she walked out. "JeSuS tAkE tHe WhEeL-" Carson sung as she walked out. Willow chuckled as Aria rolled her eyes. "I'm never going to forget that by the way," Carson said laughing. Aria flipped him off but then joined in laughing. She abruptly stopped. "Oh SHIT, I HAVE TO RIDE CITI!" She said. She trotted Castella down the hill, leaving her friends at the show ring. Charlie was there holding Citi who was tacked and ready to go. "Ohmygosh you are a lifesaver, thankyousomuch!" Aria said quickly as she swapped horses.
