So far I made these characters in the game, although I did restart a lot for my elf. Seriously, what happened to them? I mean, I don't mind if they were really slender so they would be different, that's all right. In fact it's enlightening. But not to the point where it really really discourages me to continue playing because I would catch my elf's arms shrinking into the body like he's being crushed by some unknown universal power.And the shoulders are just too narrow, and the elves are supposed to be hunters, right? So logically they should have some meat on them because if the elves were from the slums, I would understand, but hunters...That just boggles me.
Phew, need to get that out of my chest.
What are your thoughts of the elves? Did you manage to make your elf without getting bothered by the arms? or the narrow shoulders.

Ugh... Hate elves in DAI, it's like a picture of anorexia ridden model with pointy ears. And it's a real shame. I believe playing an elven Inquisitor (mage, I play only male mages) is really appropriate given how much elven locations and sub-plots there are. But they look just hideous. I too think that Dalish are agile hunters with some meat in their shoulders and hands. Jesus, they look so... awkward, like shy schoolgirls with those shoulders.
But in any events your elvwen Inquisitor looks gorgeous. Hell, all three of them look gorgeous.

I love the way my female elf looks just fine. With regards to male elves though, my male Lavellan is a mage so I guess his small frame is slightly excusable (but he sometimes looks like he could be mistaken for a female). But with rogues and warriors, I feel they should be buffer, especially for the warriors who wield greatswords and the like.
Solas looks buffer than any of the male elves I've seen (thanks to his beautiful broad shoulders and muscular legs) but even he suffers from the skinny arms syndrome if you place him in certain outfits.

If they had used Solas' form for the male's, it would have been alright. He has very broad shoulders, and it is really noticeable when you stand the male!Elf!Inquisitors next to him.

I found it hard to make a male elf look decent. It's like the game wants all the other races to just be beautiful and glitter whenever the sun shines on them and then there's the male elf. He's always got this weird derp to his face and the body proportions bother me to no end. I had to settle on something that I hoped wouldn't scare small children ingame but he's alright. He's way too skinny and I feel I can pick him up with my pinky but he's alright.

My rogues and warriors? They could be a bit buffer...
Devs say the model for the male elves are the same as Solas' model (pfft! That sweet elf is broad~) but it's the clothes that make it look like they're sticks or somethin' like that

well, my elf was a girl, so although I found her very slim for her height, it didn't bother me very much... what I really found annoying are the hairstyles!! why do you have the same types for women and men... and most of them are bald!! I'm very angry with that.

I think the elves are slightly better than in DA2, but I agree with you. At least, with the men, a little more meat in the shoulders and legs for the hunting, right?

I am in love with your Inquisitors. The only male character I ever really got to look really good was my Adaar. Then again I was too busy making females to romance Cullen and Iron Bull...

I've only ever been happy with the female elves I made. Their body proportions seemed a little better than male elves. Plus all the male elves I made looked a little too female and I just haven't been happy with all the male elves I've tried to make. Though male qunari it's the opposite. I can make lots of handsome male qunari Inquisitors, but the women...nope.
