Wow.... this ultra-rare Lotus Exige S1 trackcar is one of the rarest cars in North America, just eight of these were imported to the entire North American continent, and of those eight, this is also the only street-legal one
I can't believe I saw it driving
And it is hard to believe just how much a car's looks change with the switching of a bumper, this is what succeeded it

Transition from S1 to S2 wasn't really a bumper change, as they also use different chassis - M111 for S1 and M117 for S2.
Transition from S2 to S3, on the other hand, actually fits the definition of a bumper change, as M117 chassis was used for S3 as well.

As far as I remember, Exige originated as Lotus Motorsport Elise, and later was renamed into Exige, probably with a bunch of changes that made it street legal. But yeah, Exige was introduced quite lately for the first generation, hence why it's pretty rare.
