I love this one. Great shading, especially on the texture and depth in the branches, you've captured the feel of wood very well, which isn't easy in pencil. The background totally makes this image for me though, if I drew this I'd have gone for a typical blue sky colour - but this works so much better, lifting the image very subtly off the background and adding a feeling of a gentle atmospheric breeze. Fantastic piece.

I wanted this to be really detailed from the very beginning. I have lately been drawn to realistic pencil drawings. And though I'm far from some of my felllow deviants here, who does mind-boggling stuffs with the pencil, I try my best and would like to keep going at it.

Initially, I kept the background blank, with just a bit of yellow. But I felt the sense of depth and volume missing from the drawing. So, I added the branches, with great care...

This too, was done from one of the photographs I took near the woods beside my friend's house. And the bird was so very beautiful...
