Really? Who the fuck ever heard of a politically correct pin-up, for sexysake!? The whole POINT of going retro with our sex art is to revel in the incorrectness of the early 20th century culture these represent. That's what makes them titillating in the first place. They're meant for a very special audience and very exclusive viewing, not for wide distribution to all sensibilities! Puh-leeeez!

I draw this picture for lethal threat design. May be they sell it as poster. I sold my copyrights to them.

Aww...part of my reaction is that I have to agree that this plays on stereotypes. HOWEVER! - stereotypes or no, this is a CUTE lady! (One of my characters is already asking, where's the headdress for HER to wear. And she's Italian/Irish, though she may have a drop or two of Native ancestry.)
I will second the suggestion that this lady be labeled as "Native American". Many of us older folks grew up on the word "Indian", but Native American is more accurate, not to mention more "correct". Fwiw, many of my parents' generation - I'm 60 - grew up on the notion that "native", whatever its context, is derogatory ("The natives are restless, Sahib") - but the word "native" has become OK! Go figure.
Another Quibble I will bring up, not because I give a @#$%^& but because you'll be hearing about it. (I'm the kind of history junkie who gets GREAT sadistic pleasure out of finding jetline contrails in scenes of Ancient Rome.) The elaborate feather headdress was a feature of only some, not all, Native cultures. And women never wore it! This is a matter of historical correctness, I have no idea how much political correctness is at issue.
All that crap said, HEY SHE'S A SWEETIE!

As hired artist I am against feather headdress for pinup models. Because drawing of each feather takes a lot of time but payment is not increased.
On the other hand the customer is always right and if he wants an Indian girl with Italian face dressed in feather headdress of chief he gets it all.

Got it!
"The customer is always right." That's the main reason why I'm nervous about commissions - I'd hate for somebody to want something way contrary to my style or values, and be entitled to it because they were paying for it.

I know I know .... if I don't like it, then don't look at it. If I don't have something nice to say, don't say it.
And I don't like to be "that guy" .... but, it is slightly offensive. I understand the "art" aspect behind it, so I can't really come down on that .... BUT .... she's not Indian. That is the part that I think i can comment on and still not infringe too heavily on freedom in art.
Indians are from India ... and Native American's are the more proper term.
I'm not a "Red Power" person, but I still prefer to see Native American's referred to respectfully and properly. If you change it, that would be nice. If not ... well it's part of the freedom in art, and I understand that.
