Yea idk, I was so so with the comics and so far he has been all talk, but hasn't proven all that much at least compared to like Turalyon or Danath Trollbane (this one should make a comeback and take Stromgarde again, game of thrones style!).

Heheh, IMO Varian is just a character being developed to be killed and to make his son the ultimate bad ass.

seems that way. I remember reading the comics when he was first introduced and he was way cooler then when his personalities were split, mainly because gladiator Varian took no crap and was straight forward with the action.
