My love posted a very lovely picture earlier, so I thought I should give an update, myself (since March) and show what kinds of things I've been doing in my notebook. I've been rather up and down about how I view my sketches nowadays. But I've been sketching here and there still.
This picture has multiple reasons for its existence. One, for practice. Two, it's a symbol of going down a new path. I can't post details yet, but I will when it's time.
Yes, I know his head is a bit small... I didn't try to do that, but his face came out well enough I didn't want to ruin it.
I hope you like this and other older sketches I'll be posting later, ones I did from March to now.

I do like to draw Link more heavily muscled than canon, when I actually do draw him, but that's just me. Although I'd like to see a hard-trained Link playable someday, too. That's not to say Link isn't good as he is, I just would find it a nice variant. We've played as an average sized adult Link and a child Link many times, why not one with a bit of extra power to him?
But, this isn't Link, if that's what you're meaning.

Bug I agreed, I'd like to see Link with more age and mass, the proportions used in characters like Batman and Deadpool in their recent games would suffice.

I really like his hair, and the fur is nicely drawn too. Very convincing! And the smaller head actually looks more correct, anatomy-wise, although his eyes are just a touch too low. Besides that though not bad at all. Good job! Looking forward to the next.

Thanks, I worked a bit on his hair to try and make it more flow-y than my usual stationary look. I'm trying to reach out, trying new stuff... Glad to see some parts are paying off at least a little ^^

Thanks ^^ I did a lot to try and experiment a bit, like giving him a cheekbone line and a slight scar over one eye,but also to have all his hair moving, not have the parts over his face stationary all the time... plus a few other things. My love has been especially helpful with all the tutorials she's shown me!
