Description Poor Ocarina!Link. He never does get a break, does he? Hell, even getting to recover in a bed is probably pretty unlikely... I can see him pretty much putting up a cheerful, ready-to-help, optimistic facade during the day, but at night, when it's just him and sleeping Navi and injuries and quietness, letting himself feel darker emotions - fatigue, exhaustion, doubt, loneliness (definitely this one - he strikes me as an extremely lonely character), even depression.

Because let's face it, he has a hell of a rough life, no matter what timeline you look at

Shade and tone practise, mostly.

damn im sure that is what its like...poor link had 7 years and his childhood stolen from him and was sent on a long, dangerous, and hard mission and was faces with endless trials and tasks and also he was practicly a 12 year old in an adults body and he saw things that are the stuff of nightmares for his age...i feel sorry for poor link....

Younger than that, actually! According to Miyamoto, he's nine in the child part, sixteen in the adult part. NINE! Poor kid!

It's not just his childhood, too - he loses his entire identity when the Deku Scrub tells him that he's not Kokiri. "Oh by the way, you're part of a race you know virtually nothing about. And you had parents who once loved you! Too bad they're dead and you'll never know them!"

yeeeah poor link..and by the way its the great deku tree XD and im almost 100% certainl that link had to at least be 18 to weild the sword because his body needed to mature...meh but i could be wrong XD

Oops, no, both wrong. It's the Deku Sprout XD Great Deku Tree is dead at that point, but, uh, Deku Scrub is definitely not right XD

And I don't know, different civilisations have different standards of what counts as an adult. Hyrule could easily consider sixteen to be the age you're an adult.

030....hn....i think the great deku trees dieing words were that he was hylian but the deku sprout simply repeated it...meh...oh well XD bottom line is is that link was told he was hylian and that his kokiri life was a lie :3

Yeah, I don't think he ever said that, I'm afraid. Link's origins only came to light after the Forest Temple. Either way, still a bit of a rude shock!
