My attempt for the blizzard contest. After looking at some other works for the contest, I feel inatiquite. Although this is my actual first complete 3d char, so I don't think to hard on it.Related content

Lol, my main is a 60 dwarf hunter XD I love the dwarves and Tauren favorite 2 races and I hate pointy eared elves..they are just to silly looking

Looks pretty good for a first completed model.
I think whats making it look off are the textures. They don't have enough contrast.
I haven't used softimage though... so I'm not 100% sure what the software's capibilities are.
[link] has a nice forum where you can post your works in progress. Not sure if you've seen it before or not.
Its a nice model. I think its just lacking a bit in textures.

I think around $500 for the base program $7000 with all the bells and whistles.
You can get maya7 learning edition for free. but it way more tedious to model in.

Immpressive looking of a 3-D tauren...they are however furry, which would be harder to render then bare skin.

I think this is a stellar effort. You must have come up against professional 3D artists. Hopefully nobody lifted the textures and models from the game itself.
