Mmm... wonderful colours to compliment your awesome figure-drawing! The musculature is really handsome but please allow me to point something out: That arm, holding the flame... It could have been done better. Same goes for the legs I think. Other than that, it looks good- definitely way better than anything I myself am capable of hehe!

Freaky, the color/lighting here is rather spectacular. If you furthered the rendering this could look really incredible.
The anatomy is messed all the hell up though:
there's a split down his right bicep, which dooesn't make any sense
right shoulder is positioned wrong
left shoulder doesn't look like it has any sort of connection to the chest
right thigh looks like it's dislocated from his hip

You really should investigate in an artist anatomy book. They usually have methods for rendering and remembering muscles so you can render them at any angle. Right now it seems like you're just winging it (I know cause I did it all the time)

Thanks for spoting me. I hope I got this straight.
Right Bicep -> I musta been outta it...
Right Shoulder needs to be moved back
Left Shoulder needs to be moved back closer into the chest
Right Thigh (I knew I was gonna get burned on that, as my teacher said, without a proper gesture sketch, your flogging a dead horse, whatever that meant) Refrence be a good idea on this one for me.

(Correct me if I'm wrong at spotting these points)
Otherwise this is fixable.

As for a anatomy book, I've been latent to goto a comic shop and pick up one... (Although I try to absorb as much as possible when I look at my friends anatomy books)

heh, I think what your art teacher meant was that without the proper base to build on, you'll end up constantly making repairs later onward.
Looks like you got it though. One extra thing now that I think about it is that his right pectoral should be sticking out more. This is assuming he's as " ripped" as the rest of his body suggests, but even if he has small pectorals they should stick out a little. (here's a couple ref pic I found you might resource [link] [link] )

I would strongly recommend Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life for learning the anatomy, and then Hogarth's Dynamic Figure Drawing for learning some easy ways to accurately set up and construct your figure. You can likely get either at a library.

Very nice to see some mostly finished and coloured work from you. I think the mane could be a bit more fur/hair like. Longer maybe? =\ Well done with the colouring job and such.

Hmmmmmmmmm... you made a good paints last year... why don't you PAINT your current sketches, then?

Oh, anyway, I dunno, but may be a larger fire or more not-too-roundy-fire will make a better effect. but still love the coloration

Eh I stuck to the Sphere type glowy thingy...

I don't usualy colour my current sketches cause I do them for practice and for fun. (That and i'm going through insomnia/bad sleeping pattern's ever since I started working graveyard shifts.)

But maybe I'll get in the habit to use Photoshop more often.

Is he supposed to be spattered in blood or is that just fur coloration?
