The Lobo Guara is actually the Brazilian anthropologist Marcelo Damata, was used in genetic experiments against their will by unscrupulous bio-geneticists who worked in secret to Lex Corp.. The experiment turned him into a savage creature super-powerful with powers on par with Wolverine, Sabretooth, Daken, X-23 among others, from Marvel Comics to roam the forests of the Amazon being welcomed by the Yanomami who regarded him as a divine being coming forest which was adopted as a people and began to fight to defend the "so-called civilized" ...
