My artbook piece for Himechui 's Fantasy Momento!I'm really pleased with how this came out! It's completely painted, I didn't line anything or sketch much. Because of this it changed a lot from start to finish as the details were built up. Painting made it easier to add or remove things along the way. If I had lined this, and stuck to the same lines the whole way through, it would have looked very different.

Ruu, this is so beautiful! I love how you arranged the jellyfish around her so that it creates an interesting composition. Everything just flows so well! (just like jellyfish in water, hahaha)

Haha no I used plenty of layers. Areas like the skin were painted in one layer, and so were most of the jellyfish.
But other than that I felt more comfortable painting in seperate layers, I'm terrible at taking risks;;

Aw I'm sorry but there's not. I haven't actually done a speedpaint before.
The drawing took me very easily over 20 hours to work on. I think I would have found it very daunting having to record for that long over multiple sittings ;;
