An absolutely terrific concept.
The facial expression on the model is one of studied intensity - you almost feel like he is staring through you. The kind of guy I would hate to play pokwer against - I'd worry he could read every bluff.
The only thing that would have made this shot better would have been if one of the cards mid-flight had been the Joker or something like that. But at the same time I love the spontaneity of this shot.

Very nice. along with the movement and all, i like the cold and worn eyes. I dont know if the model is a regular player, but he definelty seems like he has seen alot in his life. I also really like how the photo is slightly tilted. it gives it a somewhat dangerous feel to it, as if the person seeing this is realizing they are way over their heads with this guy.

Not much I can say here that someone else hasn't already said. The black and white is amazing with all its many gradations and textures. The expression on the face (especially the eyes) is nothing short of captivating. The movement and blurring of the cards is fantastic. Just an amaz ing, amazing piece.
It reminds me of a still shot from a 'Rat Pack' movie.

It's actually a bunch of movies with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. Not really a still shot, so much as just an aura or a feeling you captured. But you can look here to get an idea of what I mean: [link] Actually, that's not a bad example, I guess.
