felt like drawing Sherlock Holmes and Watsonno- not the BBC version, to ones from those 1930s movies with Basil Rathbone, who is like one of the hottest men in history
OH GOD THAT FACIAL STRUCTURE, LOVE ME BASIL RATHBONE
i always loved the costumes and stuff, and Watson's mustache
and of course Basil as Sherlock in all his wise sex appeal
yeah incase ur wondering i did watch a bit of the BBC version that is popular on tumblr now adays- I didn't like it, it wasnt bad or anything, i just didnt like it.
I saw the first hollywood movie made not too long ago with Robert Downey Junior: really didnt like that one. that i actually couldn't stand- not sure why
im sure im gonna be flamed by some people now haha XD
im now gonna roll around in my mind, and see if i can make an earing/chain with a human tooth

my favourite adaptation has always been the series from 84 starring jeremy brett. i think he did an excellent work portraying mr holmes. reckon it's because i can relate to jeremy brett's illness, which i think subsequently worked in favour of his character.
yet basil sure had a certain swag about him that made him the original sherlock holmes so to speak.
still though, nothing beats the books.

oh i never heard of jeremy brett, but i do agree that rathbone has become the original icon of sherock- i think of him when i think of the books <3

then i strongly recommend you to watch the 80's version with jeremy brett if you're a fan of the character itself, i feel it to be more true to the books rather than the first portrayels (with the pipe, the coat and the "that's elementary"-line which are all bollocks).
