I start off with a base in Paintshop Pro then instead of doing a larger kaleidoscope, I make lots of smaller ones. From there, I take the image to Animation Shop which has a handy effect which changes the colours for you to create a cool GIF. I discovered it completely by accident a while back. The first one I put up on my other account is actually my most favourited piece.
