Ahah - he'd be so busy trying to keep the whole thing G rated with Jack around that the old timey swim togs would be his way of setting an example. But mostly he'd just have to keep coming back to the same page in his book over and over again because he'd be so distracted by Rose in a bikini.

I do however regret not making Jack's swimsuit smaller
