I was playing Fallout 3 again and my friend who stayed over joked that I look an awful lot like Amata. She's not the first one to say that too (sometimes I wonder if I should take it as a compliment or an insult...). While trying to see the resemblance, my friend took out my tablet and DEMANDED that I draw Amata as me. Of course, considering she was holding my cupcakes hostage, I complied. Thinking that I can get away with just a simple sketch, she told me to add a few scars and make her "well-toned". While I drew Amata with myself in mind, adding those things seemed ridiculous. But she insisted that since Amata opened the vault, she wouldn't really stay in one place. After all, "the Capital Wasteland is a dangerous so of course she would get scars" (what my friend said).Hm...Amata is taller than me...
Anyway, blame my friend. She had my baby cupcakes! ;_;
EDIT: Her her is kinda brown because my hair is dark brown even though my friend INSISTS it's black (it's not).

She looks like a tough woman here, like the Overseer indeed. That outfit is great too: a formal Vault jumpsuit with more casual shirt. Mind if I use that outfit, if I ever paint another picture of Amata?

I'd take it as a compliment. Lotta people don't like Amata, but I think she's a good character. Sure, a little under-developed, but a lot of people in FO3 were.

New Vegas certainly fixed that problem. I liked a lot of the characters in that game.

So did I. Hated much of the location and the graphics, though. But I LOVED the characters. They felt more...alive. I just wished that Fallout 3 had more options.

Well, again, at least now we have New Vegas. I still like and play Fallout 3, but I can enjoy both games for what they are.

i actually feel that fallout 3 had a much more enticing storyline and lots of great characters(amata included) it just didn't have enough to do. however, new vegas had a lot to do i just felt bored with the storyline and found no characters that i truly liked. but that's just my opinion. great picture though.

You might not have found any characters you liked, but the amount of characters in New Vegas, combined with that even the most lowly and random of merchants often have very unique personalities and backstories, simply beats out over Fallout 3. The writing is simply better in New Vegas, because they spent much more time on the characters within. Fallout 3 has a lot of potential when it comes to characterization, but really, it's the least of what it could have been, now that New Vegas has shown us a raised bar.

thanks for replying so quickly. you bring up a good point however i just don't like new vegas because it never truly drew me in like fallout 3 did even though new vegas has a much larger amount of quests and people not to mention the upgraded gameplay. however, i still like fallout 3 more.
i love your story by the way keep up the good work. i am a romantic dude inside so i had always hoped that the LW and amata got together.

Personally, I don't quite understand why anyone likes Fallout 3 more than New Vegas. It's kind of like saying they like one side of a coin more than the other, because one side is silver and the other gold. Perhaps it really is just me, but I always felt that they took a winning formula and simply expanded on it, adding new content and shining it up even more in areas where F3 fell short. Perhaps it's merely a preference in location, or perhaps Fallout 3 has simply had more time to sink in whereas New Vegas is still, well, new and the DLC is still coming out for it.

i understand where your coming from. i do really like new vegas, but i just like fallout 3 a little bit more. i love all of new vegas's new features like iron sights and realistic gun sounds lol however, it's just missing something that fallout 3 had, but im not sure what exactly.
anyway, stupid question, but do you know how to friend people on this thing?

I just got Old World Blues, and I am loving the dialogue. I don't think anyone in Fallout 3 had dialogue this long and this engaging, no offense to the game, but I spent over an hour simply talking and listening. Damn that's fine work.

yea i heard old world blues came out today. but unfortunately i have it on the ps3, and i dont have online so i cant get it.

A shame. Perhaps in the future there will be a full pack version you can buy, I'd highly recommend it.
