Saul chuckled as he said it, standing a ways across from his next opponent-an acquaintance from what seemed like ages ago, yet nowhere near what he'd remembered her to be. Indeed...Lady Kinborough (that was her name, right?) seemed more a fighter than an elementalist at that moment; held herself proudly with a spear at her side-eyes blazing in mild indignance at his slight attempt at friendly banter-

-but she was no armored knight...and there was no way in Hell he'd pit the full brunt of his strength against a lady-and an inexperienced one at that. The female paladins he served alongside with were the obvious exception, of course-but now...

Kin didn't wait for an invitation. Not a minute after the rhetoric had left his lips did a flash of blue and red cut across the sand, closing the gap with wild swings and surprising speed.

She certainly had guts...Unlike the last encounter Saul stepped back, trained a wary eye on her movements while shifting to a defensive stance-willing back a grin of admiration (in favor of a more appropriate, non-taunting frown) at the fearless barrage as he focused on defending, sidestepping, deflecting...ignoring the strikes crashing against his armor and the ones slicing dangerously close towards unprotected areas. Biding his time until an opening presented itself-the second she hesitated, or swung too widely-all of his movements centered around knocking the weapon clean from her grasp. The instances that he did attack he'd avoid her person entirely-heavy swings aimed purposefully at the staff in her arms.

She was relentless-and made up for what she lacked with sheer drive. This odd exchange presented a challenge that was wholly the opposite of the last match, and he'd need skill and more than a touch of subtlety to overcome it. A voluntary forfeit may have been out of the question, but an breaking unarmed opponent's will would be a different story.

I hope I didn't make Kin too unrecognizable-;//-//; I planned on having her use daggers but just really wanted to draw that spear;;;-I guess this would be moments before he tries disarming her (HE HAS A HARD TIME FIGHTING WOMEN uhm)
