This is incredibly close to the Bagoas I had in mind while Reading Mary Renault's "The Persian boy". Great pose, great anatomy (The hands, wow!). Overall an awesome drawing!

LMAO! Draw? By studying, my dear!! I've been doing this for awhile. So let's see, I've been drawing since I could remember, seriously started in 6th grade... I was... 12? So, I've had a good 7 total years of REAL experience.
Also, Greek art and nude life drawing sessions helped a lot.

Thanks!! I'm so very glad you liked it. I REALLY need to update though. I have so many new inked pages to scan and no time to do it. So, that is the tragedy of having no interent at home. It's a pain to transfer pages on floppies from home to work... *sigh*

I want more of it. So addictive.
Do you have a banner for it? I am doing a website design as a project and I have a links page, and I wanted to put up Alexandros as one of them....

Hehehe...actually, believe it or not, I've read some of your journal entries and replies to other people's comments on your pics and such, and so I knew you were creating this graphic novel and that he belonged to it. I think it's an awesome project--I love it when fiction can creatively integrate things from real life without making the story SEEM like a history textbook.
I always research things like medical treatments for injuries my characters get in my stories, or how to change a tire, if the characters have t, just so that I can write it perfectly factual so that if anybody checked to see if it was right, they would find that it was. And I learn a lot of really interesting abilities this way, too!
As for Bagoas being an evil, vindictive little meddling brat...LOL...I find tat characters are a lot more interesting to the reader when they're kept a bit unpredictable and allowed to have their own unclear agendas. Whenever your graphic novel comes out, I'll buy a copy!

Aw, Sweet! Don't worry, I'll be scanning and working on getting the pages for issue one fine tuned for publishing. I had a deadline with a Greek company (hah, funny coincidence), but I missed it and have heard nothing since. So I may publish on my own. In any case, I totally agree with you on the studying stuff thing. It kind of goes hand in hand with trying to make a "manga" based in Japanese real life when you know nothing about it.
Oh yeah? Bagoas doesn't really have an agenda, so to speak. He's just nuts. XD
