Description This shot was taken at a local "fake Lapland" (no need to travel to Lapland anymore lol).

Filters used: Hoya ND400 (9-stop gray) and Fujiyama Cir-Pol which together allowed me to use ridiculously long exposure-time in daylight, 2 minutes..! I also had my work-camera with me, 1D mk2 + 16-35 f/2.8 L USM

Hope ya like!

9stop Grad and -2 PLZ= -11 stops !!! GREAT MOVEMENT with this exposure setting !!

I have to buy this Mk2 body soon. So grainiless images !

May I ask if ND was fully placed over image or partially please ?

How many HDR shots also you have merged together please ?

RS-foto In reply to LemnosExplorer [2008-01-08 22:29:14 +0000 UTC]

Hehe yeah that combo makes pretty decent exposures
It's a full ND and only one exposure, no HDR used there. I had to light up the ground little bit with photoshop though

Oh, the long exposure makes the clouds look as if it was a very windy day indeed! And the tree looks so skewed as if it's bracing itself against the wind. Barren and battered, all leaves and even the small twigs blown away... Great image! I like the composition, and how the rich colors of the forest contrast with the grey clouds :]
