I think the evidence speaks for itself. Since returned from hiatus, the art style has taken a complete 180. I don't mind the new art, but...it has no resemblance to the art Hoshino made 6 months ago.Related content

uhh... you're complaining cuz the panels are cleaner? the old example is small panels and that whole chapter looks like it was rushed.
as for the charas, i'd say they all look their ages now. hell Allen looks like he's 12 in chapter 1. Allen's and Kanda's are so different because of the emotions and angles. pissed and surprised make your face look different. you can't judge between three or four chapters anyway, you don't draw the same people the same way every time.

I do know that at some points, Hoshino and her assistant do what they call the "two-man draw" where there's multiple hands drawing at once and they have someone distract her editor when she is cutting really close to the deadline. Haha~ I do, however, miss her artwork that was back during the Ark season.

well, a change in drawing style wouldnยดd be taht surprising and unusual since a lot of mangakas do that as well...masashi kishimoto...tite kubo....rumiko takahashi...

It could be that her vision of the characters has matured. I noticed that most in the comparison of Section Leader Reever (can't remember his first name).

From what I heard, her editor has become kinda strict and all so maybe she was told to change her style up a bit more...to become more simple and clear. And considering how things have been going on in Japan after the earthquake and stuff...maybe she's just trying to rush things through > . <;

The biggest change is to Reaver, really. She might have just been working on fixing her style a bit, and decided it was good enough to make the new chapter in that style, since she perfected it. It doesn't mean that it was an assistant.

Who knows? Artwork does evolve over time... But, I don't really keep track of when the manga updates. A friend usually tells me, and then I read from her 
I just wish there was more of Crowley... T_T And Lavi.

I don't think she has people drawing for her tbh, chances are it could be quality of printing (less quality for Shonen Jump than in the actual DGM manga books) or shes just improving her style to make it more visually attractive. Just because she's published doesn't mean her art can't improve

I missed the old style. The new one bothers me so.
I can no longer stare at the art for hours on end just because it was that beautiful.
Now, it's more of reading it to only find out what will happen next...

You are right, Hoshino's styles of drawing has been change radicaly. But in my mind, i liked her drawing before hers contusion. :c It is fact, the bright panel is better for the eye, but for example, the new Allen in Crown Clown looks... terrible for me. :c
All faces bacame around. I don't like it very much, even the characters looks much adult. : o
Really, I miss her old style! It was unrepetably! T_T GIVE IT TO ME BACK!

She have assistants of course,but obviously the main drawing is hers,or else she would be fired.In six months you can change your style of art,with hard work.Maybe she wanted to make a new start.

at least I still loved the style back in chapter 188--- my favourite style was back during the noah's ark arc <333 Allen back then was <333!!!
ever since after the latest hiatus from chapter 190 -- the one with Alma, the art has been soo off D:
i couldn't stand especially the latest one (197) -- it seems like she's being a lot lazier, and trying to cut corners.
can't believe i'm saying this but I'm actually really disappointed in her new style :/

I think it's Hoshino herself 
Hoshino said in an interview that she's having a hard time deciding a style of her own(she was an animator before, and as one you're supposed to copy others, not make your own), and her assistants appearantly complain to her about it x'D (sorry for my English T_T)

well, she now has a month to finish 30 pages worth (about 2 normal weeks worth), so i'd think she's has extra time to add details.... plus, the new art maeks everything look eh, cleaner? though the old gave DGM the creepy look it deserves

Maybe Hoshino-sensei decided to improve her art! It happens all the time to other Mangakas~ Look at Naruto and Bleach when they started out. THEY WERE CRAP! now they're better~ =w=
And Personally, I like Hoshino's new kind of drawing~ Brings life to the characters~ hehe! ^w^

For the record, i think i like the new style better because it's so less clattered. though having everything darker did give DGM the morbid look it deserves, maybe she/editors got tired of the inky mess?
The coloring is different, yes, but that just makes all the characters more detailed (though i liked Johnny's swirly glasses better). It's also possible that this is temporary...

Neah, I think it's still her, just that she changes her style quite a lot, it happens to us all, I see that you're drawing too, so you will surely notice that your drawing style will change too after a while 
As for the way the strips/panels look like, well it's because of the people who are in charge of the scans' cleaning; some are putting more effort into it and some well... bleh, they simply don't

The most obvious change in character is Allen, I think. He looks like he's 15 again. Face is more round, cuter. Eesh. It took him so long to grow up and now he's grown back down again.

I think Kanda looks like this cause he is scared, and wil have an emotional break down soon. Hope he will not stay the girly way as he is now.

Yeah, styles definitely change a lot (look at Fruits Basket, for instance) and Hoshino's has over time. Only reason it bothers me now is because her style, layout, form, and structure all changed at once from once chapter to another.

In fact, I'd almost swear all the art got a whole smoother look...as in, one minute it looks traditionally done with ink, and now it looks like it was done with a computer or something...I mean, with the Kanda then and now pictures...
