Eee, thank you!  I'm slowly working on developing a cuter style like this to offset the more realistic work I've been doing lately- it's great for stress relief.

I wish I could give a reason more substantial than 'christ, what a beautiful friggin' animal', but alas...I suppose I'm also drawn to their reclusive, quiet nature as well; just big, ridiculously colored antelope moving through jungle.  It's a nice thought all-around!

If things came down to looks and personality I'd definitely portray myself as an aardvark, but it's nearly impossible to draw a cute hat on one of them.  Tube-heads. >:[

My own character is a greater kudu (well, mostly), and it makes me sad that most people don't even know what that is! :C
(I actually recently tabled at a con and had the chance to see the furry fandom's only kudu fursuit in person. He walked past and I just stood up and said "KUDU! KUDUUUU!!!" and the guy was so DELIGHTED that somebody knew what he was. We giggled about ungulates for a few minutes. It was nice. )

ANYWAY, yus, I totally feel you regarding that Kudu guy. I only recently attended my first furry con and spent far too much time staring at Cool Ungulate Suits (particularly a reindeer guy wearing actual sleigh bells, u cutie, haha.  One day I hope to see a bongo suit, and (though not an ungulate) I swear I've seen an aardvark suit someplace online...
