Illustrated for the book - The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents by Terry Pratchett'Other cats were, suddenly, stupid. Maurice started to hang around with the rats, instead. They were someone to talk to. He got on fine so long as he remembered not to eat anyone they knew.'
Quill & indian ink.
Drawing is bigger but A3 is the max my scanner could cover. Would rather upload a good scan than a poor photograph.

What I love the most in this particular work, or at least which struck me first, were the tattered ears of the cat. This is truly a perfect illustration: Mr. Pratchett should hire you on the spot.
