Description Another pano from my trip to NYC. This time it's the Manhattan skyline, as seen from Brooklyn.

This is technically quite good. I especially like the star filter you used on the camera (as opposed to adding it in in post.)

Although artistically, it really doesn't do much for me. It's just "Another city skyline," basically. If there was a specific spot to focus on, or something atypical about this, or some aspect that grabbed my attention, it would be a lot better. But technically this is just wonderful.

Fair enough! To be honest, i was a bit surprised myself by how "unphotogenic" the south-most part of Manhattan really is from that angle (what you see here on the far left); it's just a blob of buildings that hang there. I actually tried to cut it out of the final shot, but ultimately decided to keep it; simply to have the picture as wide as possible… But it came down to this, how can i not take a photo of this skyline when this has been my first time in New York City in over 20 years? But i get what you're saying.

Yeah it would be hard not to take a picture.  I get that   And I don't even see the "blob of buildings" you see, so I clearly wouldn't take it out.  I guess it's one of those things where only the artist can see certain parts they wish they could change.
