They may not be hypnotized but last time I checked from the many other latex skunk pictures/stories out their. They normally have a bit of mind/body alteration and control involved with becoming a latex skunk. As the victims tend find themselves compelled to act like skunks to varying degrees and to spray others just like a normal latex skunk would. Since they normally inherit more than just the skunk like appearance and gain some of the skunks natural instincts to better allow them to transform others. But beyond that as mentioned they get to keep their mind in intact for the most part and their free will while trapped as a latex skunk.
