at first the poem in the description reminded me of a book i read - the lion of flanders (by hendrik conscience) so i researched it and found out it was actually written during world war i. (or the great war e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="
now when i look at your photograph it reminds me of th dead soldiers, not just in flanders, not just in the world war, but everywhere.
for me the only major problem with otherwise the perfect image is the focus. i feel it should be on the graves in the foreground, not on the center piece in the background. seems backwards to me.
the petals on the crosses also bug me because they are not all arranged the same way, but that is just me i guess. one more slight mistake is the right side that seems to be more in focus but also cluttered (unlike the perfect left side).
if there is a way to recapture the image while fixing these issues, this would be an even more perfect photograph.

To begin with, I think the angle you've chosen for the shot is very effective; it's so different from what I'd consider to be a tourist snap looking down.
I also like what you've done with the colouring, it makes the poppies stand out and it's obvious that they are the focus of the photo. Naturally, aswel as being aestetically pleasing it also gives across the strong message of remembrance whish is so closely associated with the poppy.
The arrangement with the really well focused wreath behind creates a good contrast of shapes however it would be nice to see the foremost crosses more focused.
All in all, a fantastic piece and keep up the great work.

really like this allow i think i would have prefered the crosses to be in focus to be able to see the messages would make the shot even more emotive

nah i dont want all that jazz in it that and i was laying over the grass where they all go so i wasnt gona hang bout for long. all the writting would take away i think its all different colours.
but looking at it again i did see something that would be better but alas it shall have to wait for next year.

well yes its obvious you didnt want all that jazz, i know that you are perfectly capible of achieving such a shot if you so desired, i was just giving my opinion of what i thought would have been more emotive, after all this is what this website is all about. just an opinion like the ones you bestow upton my guff

and all they are is just names but if you look really close you might actually see a name thats in focus.
