it's sad to say that i just played this game for like... 30mins... the cd that was given to me was a bust... but thanks to this!!! i kept looking for the persona and i ended up playing persona 3...though i'm almost done...curse you gaming habit!!!

This one really stood out to me because I'm playing Persona 3 at the moment. In the game there is a MMO called innocent Sin and you meet a girl playing as Maya...

I would really like to know... how do you get your lineart so straight? o____o My lines are always wobbly and wonky.
her face looks very pretty. And the shading on the clothing is the greatest. Did you use a normal sketching pencil to shade her shirt?

part of it is years of practice, i guess? i've been drawing for so long that i've trained my hand to do those long curves and strokes without shaking too much.
another part of it, though, is that i take the time to add a lot of weight to my lines. sometimes, that helps cover up mistakes and/or just makes everything look smoother.
digitally, i have a harder time trying to smooth things out...larger resolution, can't turn the tablet to make strokes easier, etc...but. over the years, i've learned that digital inking doesn't HAVE to be super smooth, because if you work at large resolutions, all those tiny imperfections disappear when you shrink the image down.
i used a colored pencil for her shirt, but just a medium gray one. regular graphite pencils smear way too much under markers
