Bringing out some old art. Older, at least.This was a reaction to the Bad Girl-izing (can that be a word?) of Mary Marvel in the comics at the time.

I've been a fan of the Marvel Family since the 70's, when DC first started printing Shazam. You really captured the spirit of the classic Mary Marvel in this art. Well done!

Cool illustration. The colors are very pleasing.
The stains, or marks on the paper actual enhance this piece; giving this a nice vintage look.
I really like how you bent the stars, and the twisting of the snake.

This looks and works quite well! It's a pity that the image is small and Mary is somewhat occluded by the snake in the foreground, but it's still a great action pose and you've got the costume down perfectly.

To sell the illusion of 3-dimensionality it's important to have part of her covered by the snake. By overlapping the two figures you make it seem like one if in front of the other.

No I haven't, but I totally totally agree with this! I hate what they've done to the character. "Dark, edgy Mary Marvel" is just wrong on so many levels.
