For as long as I have lived and served the Toadstool royal family and the Mushroom Kingdom, our beloved land had always been at odds with its rival, the land of the Koopas, now ruled by the evil and ruthless Princesse Bowsette. For years our kingdom had been subject of her continuous assaults and many abductions of our monarch, Princess Peach, to conquer and unify through marriage both realms under her iron fist. Luckily for us, our kingdom was always defended and saved by the heroic brothers Mario and Luigi. To us all, thanks to their wonderful services to our land, they had become known to be the βSuper Mario Brothers.β

Bowsette is a "what if" that got really popular. Just because Bowsette can't happen in the game, doesn't mean we can't draw her/him. If you don't like Bowsette, that's fine. But don't go around pestering everyone who does like Bowsette about why you think they shouldn't.Β

Exactly, a "What if" That's why it doesn't work! If it was just some random fanart without any specific ground in the lore, like a generic Bowser gender swap, it wouldn't be bad. Instead it's a WHAT IF! It's supposed to show WHAT happens IF Bowser put on the Super Crown. And here's what would happen: he would turn into Peachette!
What if's need to follow the specific rules of the lore, that's the only requirement for them to work! They need to take the premise and work off of it using the established rules, not make rules of their own!
It'd be the same if I said "What if Luigi saved Peach instead of Mario?" and I answered by showing that Mario would eat a fire flower, turn into Donkey Kong and fly away. Can't you see why it's incredibly stupid and wrong?

They think Bowsette is a cool, sexy, and/or interesting concept. Look, the point is not that people can't draw Bowsette or anything else, or that they shouldn't, the point is that they don't deserve attention for it! I'm not critiquing the drawing themselves as much as the overwhelming responses. Bowsette doesn't work as a "what if" (the question is What if Bowser wore the Super Crown?) and the character herself is really nothing special, and of course it's my opinion, but it's also my opinion that it doesn't deserve all this attention.

So you say that people don't deserve attention for drawing Bowsette. That's your opinion, of course. And as I said in my previous comment, there is nothing wrong with having an opinion. But the fact remains, whether you like it or not, Bowsette is currently a hot topic, therefore Bowsette drawings will get a lot of attention, no matter how many Bowsette drawings you comment on. Lore and rules are irrelevant in this matter. If you think about it, drawing Bowsette these days is a great way to get people to notice your other artwork. If they have a great art style, then yes, they deserve the attention they get. Drawing Bowsette these days is like advertising your own art in a way. Same goes with any popular art meme.
On the topic of Bowsette being creative, even though it's just Bowsette again and again and again, everyone has their own art style and their own idea of what Bowsette looks like. Sure, most of the time Bowsette's drawn in the way she/he appeared in the comic that started it all, but it's still creative nonetheless.
Being creative does not necessarily mean being original.
SO if the artist is great at what they do, then yes, they deserve the attention they're getting.
