It is wonderful, isn't it? I like the boat house and the old mill. And the Kingmaker exhibition *-*. Before we went there I readed lots of books about the NEvilles and Tudors and all those other noble familys. And one of my favourite novels sets (partly) at Warwick castle. It was nice to see it in real. Sorry for my not so good english <<°

I had many castles I wanted to visit because of books, movies or just surving around at wikipedia. My biggest dream was a visit to Pembroke Castle (because I adore Jasper Tudor) and Warwick castle was on second place. then I found some information at a german travalling guide, well..and then I found the link for internet and we went there (we rented a cottage at Painswick one week, so it was not so far away).
the two Jesters? I had to follow your link to understand..XDDDD. Love them, too ^.^.
The novel is a really great one, it's part of the Waringham trilogie and sets during the wars of Roses. It's called "Das spiel der Könige" by Rebecca Gable (she writes FANTASTIC and very authentic british medieval novels). But..it's written in german.I heard they have some proceedings about an english translation (that would be fantastic!!! Normally I read english books, when they are not written in german language but the other way round sonds difficult because german is not so easy to learn, I think (I hate our grammar XDDD)).

that sounds like you had a great holiday over here i havent heard of pembroke castle but ill listen out for it now.. my parents really like going to castles so we've been to a fair few in our time XD
amazing... i really hope they will translate it into english so that i can read it! i also want to start reading some arthurian legends and stories about merlin.. i heard that it ends with merlin getting locked away in a tower forever.. that is too sad...

wah! you mean Merlin in the other message! OMG...I'm sooo stupid! Of course the voices are german actors who perform this. No dialect, no sutitles. But I like the "real" voices much more (the german voices are ok, but ..nah. nnobody sounds like colin Morgan or John Hurt XD)
Pembroke Castle is at the southwest (very west) of Wales. I love castles, too! The norman ones are build in an other way than the german castles I know. With a motte (we don't have it, we have other typical buildings like the "Bergfried")..okay, enough about history! I enoy the arthurian legends, too! But you're right, most of them end sad

yeah they really do.. i wonder if they'll put any of those endings into the series.. and also wonder when arthur and the others find out about merlins magic XD

I saw the first episode in German but can't wait to see more and order the english one (there was no German DVD at this moment). and I hope to see more english castles! I don't think arthur find out before the end of the series. It's part of the setting and would be half interesting if he knows

i kinda want to try and find the japanese dub of merlin.. or other dubs too! i heard they sound like 5 year olds XD and colin morgan with a 5 year olds voice.. haha
ah well, the castles in germany look very pretty too! ive been chatting with about it recently and she's really making me want to come over and visit them XD

Thank you! If you have the possibility to go to Warwick you should go. It's really nice. The atmosphere is like a medival admusement park. Not like a normal mevial market (ok, I only now german events ^^°). But we have a really good time there and much fun.

Gibts hier bei uns eigentlich auch immer ein paar im sommer, also um turnier zu sehen muss man nicht extra nach england fahren. Um etwas andere Burgen zu sehen schon, der normannische Busaustil ist doch etwas...anders . Geh doch einfach mal bei euch. So ein schöner Tjost ist toll anzuschauen. Ich mags immer gern ^.^

Lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! Wobnei Wales NOCH toller war als england, weil es noch viel ursprünglicher ist und die Natur einfach nur HAMMER.
