Description This should not have taken me that long. Been working on my ink/color process, trying to learn things from a ton of folks.

Still feel mediocre. -__-

Made some progress though, so I can't complain. Moving forward! Baby steps at a time.

Love the perspective. Now if only I can draw a moped like that (that's what it's called, right?)

Nice use of perspective here.

This is rather cute.

Thanks ^_^ Glad the perspective came out okay, was a bit different from the norm for me.

looks great. the yellow scarf pops. her ear looks really great. the colors all work together for me. I wouldn't worry about the shakiness of the line you were. zoomed out like this it just gives the lines "character" for me. Like the lines of the bike. I know you said you wanted them smooth and if I was drawing it I would as well. But this was gives the overall look a "homemade" quality you wouldn't have otherwise.

the shoulder/knee has some sort of tangents going on. it looks like if you accidentally made the shirt's shoulder go along with the right knee. the knee protruding should be all skin. if you didn't accidentally do that then it's a tangent that makes it appear that way. the highlights on the shorts seems out of place? makes her shorts appear to give the same reflections as the bike as opposed to the rest of her clothes. and her seat and the bike seem weirdly offkilter. see her right leg area where the seat matches up with the lower part of the bike - it seems flush. but near her left knee it seems inset.

you did this all in SBP or did you take it into PS? the inking looks great though you still might prefer MS. spend some time with it! you'll end up digging it... Then again, if you're going for an anime/cartoon look and not a manga/comic look you're probably better off without it. but MS can help you with backgrounds still!

overall great job. I wouldn't worry about the nitpicky stuff i pointed out. I really had to look for that stuff. it's not something that noticeable! I dig the forced perspective of this as well...

Thanks man! Good point about the knee, that was something that was definitely bothering me a bit. Something just seemed off about it. Honestly not a fan of the right (well her left) shoulder either, seems really low if she's propping herself up by her arms.

That whole moped makes me soooo angry lol! Every time I look at it I see something else wrong. XD The seat area in particular is all sorts of wrong. Going to make a design sheet for her moped soon so I can get a really accurate idea for future drawings.

Did the flats in SBP and the inks (as you saw methinks) but all shading/lighting was done in PSCS3. I think that's the process I'm headed towards. BUT!.... I may do all my ink lines in Photoshop after all. Looking into how I really want to do my inks, and for the comic I need clean lines, so...

Thank you very much for the in-depth critique! I should have put a critique request on this anyhow lol, and will do so for pics in the future.

I know you worked hard on it. something i need to learn to do - if i spend an hour i feel like i've spent an eternity. though, that's prolly cause i don't have the skills to get it much beyond what i can accomplish in that time.

one thing i saw somewhere, which may help you as well, is "draw the hands first." For me it sometimes helps, cause I think something is too stiff because i drew the arms and then i'm trying to fit the hand into what i want it to do. so sometimes i find drawing the hands first allows me to figure out where the arms go. it gives my crappy art a tad more fluidity anyway...

you may as w3ell ink in PS as well. Reason why is: I'm sure the process for "inking" in photoshop is very similar... and since you're taking it to photoshop anyway, may as well do inks there. hell, pretty soon you just may find it easier to do it all in PS! lol

I just figured since i missed some time, i'd give you my full thoughts on it. not just a "that's great!" kinda thing... but I did have to spend time looking at it to discover what little bit i did. the knee/shoulder and the bike thing are the only two things...

oh, and the handlebar/hand thing looks much better. you'd never know you had an issue!

No doubt! You shall make the stream 100 times better live. Because I already made it 100 times worse, it can only improve, right?

Thanks!

I had give her a motorcyce at first... but then I remembered how cool a moped could be.

...especially one that can be powered up... >:]
