Looks so cold, but it makes me feel so warm inside.

This is just such a lovely shot, and I've always loved that poem. Well done.

Thanks very much. Robert Frost is one of my favourite poets.

We do not blanket our horses as we believe it messes with their natural body temperature regulatory system. If you notice, the snow does not melt on them -- their naturally thick coats insulate them well enough to keep their body heat in and the wet out.
Also, these guys have access to run-in stalls in the barn if they so choose. Obviously they are enjoying their time outside or else they'd be inside.
It's interesting how we as humans give our horses things we think will make them "comfortable" -- blankets, box stalls -- because that's what we would want (clothing, shelter). But when given the choice, horses will show us what is truly best for them. And usually, the closer to the natural model, the better.
