Description So when doing the meme project [link] , when I got around to Artemis as a Gargoyle (I consider the Greek goddess of the hunt an adopted character in some ways. I might write a book... someday...) I tried to think of what a Greek gargoyle might look like.

Since in the Disney Cartoon Gargoyles many cultures' statues are implied to actually be magical creatures at night, I thought of Greek statues. Wings are usually feathered as seen on the goddesses Nike and Iris, and sometimes you'd have full states used as columns, so I had the idea that what if, during the day when stone, a gargoyle could pose as one of these columns.

So I doodled this up. The statue next to her is one of her "hounds" though after I scanned it I thought about some what-ifs for mythical Greek creatures. What about gargoyle-ized Manticores? Sphinxes? Harpies?

some other time perhaps
