Description Something originally created for a Comipo comic for (who also made the preview art) , she along with converted all of the files I made to make them Comipo friendly and compiled them into a single .rar file for everyone using Comipo to download! Isn't that lovely?

What will you get?

  • Maglev/Monorail cars: This includes the end cars and the cars in the middle
  • Maglev/Monorail interiors: The interior of the car has a textured floor, wood grain shelf along the sides, blue fabric trim and a rubber aisle. As separate models, the interior wall and door (which has a window) are also textured, and the interior wall features a small display sign that you can use to say things like "Exit" or some other small message.
  • Maglev/Monorail rail: Well the train has to ride on something right? It's textured too
  • Train seat: The train seat is a high back chair with a small head pillow, and a reclined model version is available in the .rar file (you can thank the previously mentioned ladies for that). Also you have two arm rests, the "RightOnly" model is an armrest with a cup holder, and the "LeftOnly" is one that was designed to have a storage compartment.
  • Finally you have the food tray. The food tray is designed to fit on the back of the train seats where it is supposed to be stowed when not in use.

    Hey, do you happen to know how to get models that are textured in blender to actually have their textures appear in comipo? You know, instead of them not having textures?

    Made paths relatives and packed the data and it didn't work for some reason. Why can't textures just appear when we need them? XD

    I'm assuming you're exporting them in a file format readable in comipo. Well I had to export them as .obj files, making sure to pack all the files into the .blend which I believe is a File menu option. You have to make sure that the materials are accessible as well. In the case of anΒ .obj, there's anΒ .mtl file and I had to make sure to include the actual texture images (when applicable) were included in the zip files. I haven't tried exporting asΒ .mqo yet so I don't know how to do it with that.

    When exporting to .obj Blender should do it automatically. I don't know how it works with .mqo though.

    Well then somethings up, whenever I send someone the .obj And .mtl Files, comipo only loads them the material colour on the model rather then the texture. Though I'm not sure if they're importing the .mtl files.

    Hmmm odd. Did you pack all the external data into the .blend file and make all paths relative? Also they will need the original images you used for the textures for it to work.

    The only part of that I understood was original images XD
    that may be what'd wrong. I never send the images themselves. Never thought I needed to. I'll see about trying that ^_^

    Hmph. Still won't work. Does it need to be a proper uv mesh, or does the simple uv work as well?

    Well, unfortunately it did not XD
    I managed to pack it and make all paths relative but according to the one who test them for me (I don't have comipo) the textures are not appearing (I've seen them through them and it is true)
    I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
    Is there something specific and obscure I'm missing?

    Heh sorry to hear that. I've been basically using that method to make stuff for Ladi. Maybe you can ask her about some of the details if I'm missing something. I don't have comipo either so I relied on her a lot.

    Ah, thanks for the intel.

    Heh thanks, though a lot of the credit goes to Ladi for guiding me through the process and telling me what was needed. Also to her and Spectre for putting them all in .csu format and putting them all in one big downloadable file.
