Cannot wait till the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum in Reading, PA get done rebuilding this to flying condition. It will be the only one in flying condition in the world.

Excellent, especially the way the aircraft stands out despite its dark colouring and the dimly lit background.

I wonder if Captain America is piloting the plane.
(Because Black Widow is also the name of a character from Marvel if you did it get the reference.)

Dusk or dawn renders are difficult and this is a masterpiece. Love it.

Cool! Unusual design on this one. I have never seen that turret on top and the form of the fuselage before.

The texturing on this thing is amazing. Lots of wear and tear...you can almost see the rivets!

Later used as the inspiration for the ARC-170 starfighter from Revenge of the Sith. Looks great

There is work underway to restore a P-61 Black Widow to flying condition. Hope to see one take flight again.

This is the third model I ever put together done back in 1970. ( the first was a 1/72 scale B-29 the second was a P-40 Kittyhawk)
At the time I had never heard of such a thing as this and it was one of the planes that titillated my fancy to discover more about it and lead to my love of all warbirds.

Is the Japanese aircraft a KI-43?

P-61 was late in the war, so more likely something like a Ki-84.
