Thanks! The class 04 noses and cab windows are too comically proportioned to leave it be.
Half of the reason why I use eyes on the windows is because that's where the crew would see, so it wouldn't be too different for the locomotive. (The exception would be Beyer Garratts, they can't see anything in my drawings)

Thanks again!
Most of the inspiration for the cartoonish locomotives came from a couple electrics I know quite closely. Whereas people tend to agree that steam engines have a very animalistic behavior, I'd say that electrics have similar, if not more personality because the old ones I work with don't tend to do exactly what you want them to do.
Oh, and their air compressors have a way of telling you which whistles they like because certain locos with certain whistles don't sound as nice, mostly depending on how big the air compressor is.

The older locos over here have poles (Essentially like trams in the UK and Europe), and because of the way they're set up, it isn't ideal to run in reverse with the pole facing that direction since it's being pushed against the overhead wire and could go the wrong way on an overhead switch. Because of that, you either have to switch poles, or turn one pole all the way around.
The black steeplecab in my drawings has come close to lifting me off the ground a few times.

Best part is that I can apply this to any machine with at least two flat sheets of metal or glass, so I'm free to do it on pretty much any large machine.
...Including but not limited to retired flying boats. Not much of an aircraft person but these things have such an interesting nose shape that I couldn't resist.

I find them interesting, mainly because an aircraft/tank simulator I play a lot (Warthunder) had the Short Sunderland as an option for the British bomber design tree. I had no idea how big it was until it spawned in the hangar one day...

XD ah yes I do! Not a bad look for him either.
Your little caption for this pic gave me an idea for a story. I hope you don't mind if I use it. I'll be sure to credit you if you wish

Thanks! Notice how he's actually British and not a Caterpillar in my version.
Go for it! Just credit me of course.
