I'm playing with contrast and such for two years... this work could be brilliant if it was an oil&canvas work. but it's an artistic photography, so I think some rules of the game were violated with this work. for example, the skin detail suddenly vanishes in the white area, so some perceptual integrity is lost. maybe I'm wrong: I'm neither Rodchenko, nor Picasso. anyway my fave goes to that amazing full dynamic range work "Green Eyed Monster".

thank you, I don't really like the lack of detail either, however I did take this when I was about 15 so my concerns at the time weren't really the "rules of the game"
